Description
Latin tutoring that is specialized and specifically crafted for each individual. We can help you with wherever you are at, whether you are learning the basics of the grammar or working your way through a Ciceronian oration. Maybe you want to learn to read, speak, or even write in Latin yourself. I (Ethan (Rogerius)) have studied Latin since I was seventeen and have since gone one to attend a two-year spoken Latin course as part of the liberal arts Curriculum at Wyoming Catholic College where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts in 2018. I wrote my degree thesis in Latin on the works of St. Bonaventure and have taught the subject for four years at the middle and high-school level. I have written numerous articles and essays on the subject, some of which are in Latin.
Both Classical and Ecclesiastical Latin are familiar to me as are their respective systems of pronunciation, though I am much more comfortable with the “restored” pronunciation these days. Currently, the works of Desiderius Erasmus are my focus, which are a nice blend of Classical vocabulary and syntax with Ecclesiastical themes.
Sessions are carried out over Zoom, the link for which will be provided upon checkout.
