Certamen Week 5 New Prompt
Last week’s prompt was to write an epigram. At the time of this post, I will be out of town and won’t be able to review any submissions. However, an inopia of participants thus far has led me to assume we won’t receive many. Should I come home to a plethora of submissions, I will review them and change the results accordingly. In the meantime, lest we be completely bereft of poetry, I have created my own brief epigram written in serious haste to fill the void.

New Prompt
This week’s promt is to write a small paragraph (5-8) sentences arguing which season (aestas, autumnus, hiems, ver) is the best. Please send all submissions to certamen@thelatinteacher.com before May 3. The paragraphs will be judged on their Latinity and their adherence to the prompt.
